Visit of the Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site. Follow in the footsteps of the tens of thousands of immigrants who landed on Grosse-Île in the hope of a better future. Located in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, Grosse-Île was once the main gateway to Canada and served as a quarantine station for the port of Quebec from 1832 to 1937.
